We took the Cat S42’s IP69 rated, military grade body and enhanced it with silver ions that fight the growth of bacteria. So no matter how dirty things may get, your phone will always be there for you.

For the first time, all external components of this product have been blended with silver ion-based antimicrobial additive for exceptional Germ Defense (ISO22196) keeping you, your colleagues and your family safe.
Rugged DO's and DON'Ts
DROP PROOF
DO: Drop the phone from a height of up to 1.8 metres.
DON’T: Throw the phone with huge force beyond the 1.8 metre range. The phone is durable but not indestructible.
WATERPROOF
DO: Use the phone in damp and wet conditions - the 5.5" Full HD+ screen works with wet fingers or with gloves. Turn on Glove Mode via Settings: > Display > Advanced > Glove Mode. The S42 H+ is waterproof to a depth of up to 1.2m for up to 35 minutes.
DON’T: Forget to close all the phone openings or attempt to use the phone at a depth beyond 1.2m.
DUST PROOF & SCRATCH PROOF
DO: Use the phone in dirty, dusty environments. The Cat®S42 H+ is certified IP68 & IP69 and its display is protected by the latest scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5.
EXTREME TEMPERATURES
DO: Use the phone within the range of: -30°C to 75°C. It can also handle extreme changes in temperature; going from cold to hot or vice versa very quickly
DON’T: Use the phone outside its operational range of -30°C to 75°C. It’s not built for a freezer or oven
